The Weekly Roundup – 8th December, 2006

City Planning: The council in Manchester have installed retractable bollards for their bus lanes. This video shows it all. Now if only I could get some on my front path for the JWs. Thanks Trevor.

Ebay Oddity: Somebody, somehow is selling a door from Victoria’s now closed toughest, maximum security prison, Pentridge Prison. If you, or a relative were in the Jika Jika Unit you can now own a slice of history – or a memento of your stay.

Testimony: Christina (aka Crissy Moran) has started a new blog site at My Space called Your Friend Crissy. Read about her remarkable testimony from being one of the adult industry’s biggest stars to her recent decision to find faith in Christ. As you can imagine, she gave up a lot for the sake of her convictions.

Blog: May I introduce you to Cameron Potts . He is 18, a freshman at Eastern Kentucky University and somebody who writes some really good stuff on his blog. I encourage you to support this young man and his young blog.

Proverbs: Dan Phillips at Pyromaniacs has quite a nice article entitled “While You’re Down There” on the lifestyle of the ant and how it should make us think. But we are sluggards after all…

If you’ve got something you’d like mentioned in the Weekly Roundup, just email me. I’d love to hear from you. In case you missed those links for emailing meyou can click here, or here, or here.

Despite their usefulness and the fact they only affect selfish, arrogant and careless drivers the bollards are taking flack it seems.

I’ve started a call for support for the Manchester bollards, if you’re with me come and show your support!
