God’s Creation in the Design of Marriage

I came across this quote today, and I was struck by awesome sovereignty of God in His design of marriage.  While there exist extremes points of view  a woman’s worth (those who overstate it; those who understate it) this quote from Matthew Henry aptly sums up how God sees marriage, how a husband should consider his wife, and how a woman should be honoured in the relationship of marriage.

The woman was made of a rib out of the side of Adam; not made out of his head to rule over him, nor out of his feet to be trampled on by him; but out of his side to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved.
